The
2025 San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP will take place in a seaside resort town on Italy's Adriatic coast called Misano Adriatic on 14 September.
What to know about the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP
The name of the race is a misnomer, as the race has always taken place in Italy, but because there is already an Italian MotoGP, it was called the San Marino MotoGP because of the track location's proximity to San Marino.
The inaugural San Marino Grand Prix was held in 1981. The event is due to take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli until at least 2026.

The Catalan MotoGP, which was the 15th round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship calendar, took place on 7 September.
The race was won by Ducati's Alex Marquez, while Marc Marquez of Ducati finished second and KTM's Enea Bastianini secured the third spot.
Standings
Marc Marquez is still placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP riders' standings, having won 10 races in the current campaign.
His brother, Alex, and Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati are placed second and third, respectively, as the three Ducati riders battle for the MotoGP world championship.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top, having won 12 races this season, followed by Aprilia and KTM, respectively.

Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez, Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi, who is placed fourth in the MotoGP riders' standings, are the favourites to win the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP.
Securing a podium spot at the Catalan MotoGP has surely boosted Bastianini's confidence, having finished third in the 2024 San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP and he is placed 12th in the 2025 MotoGP riders' standings.
